Poem Artwork

As an old saying runs,
The clever warlord
Attacks his foe by surprise;
A perfect lover
Leaves no trace
Of his attendance.
A skilful locksmith
Makes no use of keys;
A clever reckoner
Makes no use of counting-slips.

He who is good
At saving things and funds,
Has simply nothing
To be wasted or stolen from him.
A skilful binder
Makes no use of knots,
Yet no one can unbind his rope;
A good walker
Leaves no track behind --
He is like a wind
That penetrates into all chinks.

In the same way,
The clever leader
Is always productive
At ruling his people,
And therefore
There is no one
To be outcast.
The capable men
Are masters of those
Who are incapable,
While incapable men
Work for reputation
Of their masters.

Not to esteem one’s master
And not to care of one’s employees
Means to be completely lost
And frustrated a lot,
No matter how intelligent
One may project oneself.

This is what is called
'Obtaining Awareness
Of the Universal Law.'
Do you say, 'No way?'
You're right, my friend,
'No go, anyway!'

I love the images that you create here to present your meaning. Very artful and yes poetic. Excellent.

The Wisdom of W. E. B. Du Bois (Philosophical Library Series) by Aberjhani

In his many novels, poetry, histories, editorials, plays, and letters, W. E. B. Du Bois poured so much of his blindingly incandescent soul into his writings that no single volume could ever contain all of his words or works. In fact, had not the his
