Be sure, I know Where I've come from -- My native town Is in the faraway hills Reduced by the sunrays to ashes. Insatiable as the flame, The child of burned down nest, I wander and consume myself, Becoming all that I am -- The Light of Mind. The glow coal I leave behind As my short poems and tales To be relighted then In the young generations, but Tonight, oh yeah, I'm all a flame!

You must be quite the optimist
with the expectation that the young generations
will read your words. Mine dry up and blow away
in less than two weeks. Oh well.
