While I was going to write a verse
About the rainy dropping,
It ceased to drumming up my top.

Once it stopped pounding on top,
In a blink my plot dispersed and
Evaporated like a morning smoke.

I asked a first sunbeam to be my guest
And drop in to burn my morning doze;
It said, 'I have no time for idle talks. . .'

I've stayed alone, listening to a cuckoo:
One cuckoo, two cuckoo, three cuckoo --
Enough! . . I don't need them too many.

To be a happy man who gladdens others
You don't need to have a second thought
About being one right straight away, now!
