For anyone missing their dad, especially this time of year, here is a few words to touch your heart.

Poem Artwork

The holidays are almost here.

We’re missing you again.

In all the time you’ve been away,

things never seem the same.

Our hearts are weighing heavy

without your warming smiles.

We long to see and hug you.

It’s been such a long, long while.

We know that you’re with God

and all the angels up above.

But, hope that you still feel from us

our unconditional love.

You’re on our minds and in our hearts

through the busiest of days.

Your continuous devotion

gave us love so many ways.

Even though our eyes can’t see you,

We hope you’re still with us,

to guide your family day to day.

It’s our faith we now must trust.

So, please stay near. Be in our hearts.

Our need for you won’t end.

God must know who he has with Him.

It’s our Dad, our Angel, our Gem.

           Miss you, Dad

                   xoxo

Beautiful, bitter sweet poem.
Treasure the memories and thankful that you have such warm faith.
I thought I'd lost my 86 yr old father last night after getting a call in the night that he'd fallen down the stairs. Two weeks before their 60th.
