Being chronically or severely ill and being well are like two different worlds. Any child/young person who has experienced long term or severe illness, will not, by their actions, harm their health deliberately, as many teenagers do with alcohol or/and drugs. Those who are ill simply long to be well to lead a normal life.

Recovery She sits alone The room is bare No carpet, no curtains Only one chair The walls need painting The cobwebs grow thick Yet she can do nothing The girl who is sick No visitors, no smiles No one else can see The cloud of sadness No one but me The door is now open And empty the room The cobwebs are gone Swept away with a broom The girl who was sick Has left that bleak space The pain has eased A smile comes to her face What has happened? She hears no one say But she hopes she will never Return to that day CopyrightACoatesworth2011

There are many angels in our society that treat the sick, lonely and dying but there are not enough to go around and some fend for themselves and recover to become the angels of the future. To think less is to lose hope.
