true love is not found on anyone's door

Poem Artwork

Where am I now where do I stand?

I wanted to be almost everybody’s friend

Wishful thinking that blurred my desirous eyes

My life won’t ever smell sweet cream apple pie

Love’s spell is strong it breaks the brittle, cold ice

Though other’s life is built on status, and pride

These two emotions do unhappily mix

They clash and require a continuous fix

Abandoned lovers are sworn to fervently hate -

Whilst blind souls take refuge in an ignorant fate

Money enters the stage, and the harvest is spoilt

Like an evil cold snake, it will soon be uncoiled

Love’s spell – so charming, so pretty, so strong

Its red apple might  be a poisonous one

This is positively brilliant, Franz!
You have inked out what many who love do not "see."
It is a beautiful emotion in its pristine impact, but
can be so easily corrupted by mundane seekings.

It may very well knock, but not be what we're looking for. You're right too many elements come into play. This poem is worth paying attention to.
