This is a poem about the unborn child trying to defend itself from a biblical standpoint.

I am created in His image I’m not a worthless mass of flesh! I am a miracle in progress in God’s view… Make NO mistake about my worth DO challenge things that you have heard About the Holy Word of God not being true … There IS a purpose for my life God has a special plan for me! I am loved so I don’t need to be afraid… I’m set apart, He says, for Him But if my fate on Earth grows dim I know I’m Fearfully and Wonderfully Made! The Book of Psalms says I am knit Deep within my mommy’s womb I pray with all my heart this world will understand… There is purpose why I’m here Because of that, I cannot fear I am protected in the shelter of His hands! So, if I live or if I die Right now, I’m very much alive! Will I be blessed to live or will they bring me harm? I have no voice as you can see To cry out loud and make my plea! God let me rest, one day, in my mommy’s arms! Oh Jesus, You’re my faithful friend In this secret place I live You form my body from the Earth and I’m made whole! So if I meet you face-to-face Please take me home to Heaven’s place Restore my mind! Rebuild my body! Revive my soul!!! Leslie A. Rummel January, 2016
