Tears from the draw of leaving one life to grasp the another........

Torn between two worlds. On one, My family and friends. It's a place I know. A place I've always been. A secure place. Where love and acceptance is a given! My place, My Values, My goals, have grown and risen. A place I thought to live untill I was very very old. On the other there is us, and a love I cherish and hold dear. Someone to be with me through my "golden years"! I think to say goodbye to the first and embrase the other, But, Fear rises up strong enough to smother. I know not what to do! Once I was a wife then just 3 son's Mother. The Distance is great many long miles between, the thoughts of the first shakes my faith in the other. You see, I know the rules what to expect being nothing but mother or grandmother. I've tested those waters and found them soothing. They wash over me and settle into a shimmering pool. I can choose to swim deep without any fear. When I surface its always the same.... My family, My life, My hopes, My dreams, and they all felt so serene. I'm caught between one and the other. In the middle, I see both. My heart misses one and longs for the other! Is there no way to have both!? So, still the tears flow for this world I may never know! For this love I may have to let go. �2006 Tina Clark

Listen to your heart Tina! This poem is nicely and stately spoken, I feel your pain, you know in your heart of hearts which is BEST for YOU! If mama ain't Happy * Noone is Happy! Dear Tina, you will always miss one when it's not around, but it still can be good, it can be wonderful. We too are always many miles away from one part of our family, but often the miles do bring us closer to our loved ones. We too would love to have both, and in a way we do, because which ever side of the ocean we are visiting, the other side is in our heart.

Children are a gift in the golden years too. With grand children as well. If he love you, he'll move. Children are such a gift, more so to a real mother...
Funny after I split, with new g/f's if my son of 3 did not like her, she went. The old blood and water thing I guess....

This is an interestign write Tina but one that really isn't all that hard to answer. If your family, friends, sons etc really love you they would want you to embrace your chance for happiness and if it didn't work out be there to comfort you afterwards. That is what being loved and loving is all about.

It's a sad song most of us sing at one time or another Tina!There will always be something missing, only in the next life will it be complete. Our choices now are the hard part. Excellent poem!
