The pain and anger
I feel inside,
Sometimes I believe will never subside.
Just when I feel like
I've got control,
It rises again like a mighty foe.
Sometimes I try to hide it,
so no one else can see
but I can still feel it,
eating and tearing at me.
I feel all empty and lonely
even with others around,
It makes me think about
a painted smiling clown.
A clown he looks so bright and gay,
his smile may last through-out the day.
But what happens after the smile's washed off,
and the crowds have vanished away?
Just when I feel like giving up;
and I can no longer cope,
You come and give me blessed peace
and a renewed hope.
Its then that I remember,
what you came to say,
Don't put your hope in mortal things
for they will pass away,
Lean on me and I'll be your strength,
Trust in me and I will walk with you,
Until you pass through those glorious gates.
Tina, I love your poem it really states what teens and many adults feel throughout their lives and tells us not to give up but put your faith in your savior.
