El juego inició
Mi corazón se elevó con los jugadores
Muchos su brillante juego demostró
Al vilo de mi silla la pelota navegó
Deslizándose sobre la recién secada hierba
El fútbol es la política del pobre
En países de gente hambrienta
Donde su público sueña con el salario de una estrella
Nuestro tiempo se perdió
Lágrimas caen gotas como lluvia ligera sobre jugadores y espectadores
Algunos producen lástima y otros resultan odiados
Hasta mañana, cuando los amaremos nuevamente.
The Game... The Poor

The game just started
My heart leaped when the players
Made their glaring show
Perched on my chair the ball bounced
Hit the recently dried grass
Football is the politics of the poor
In countries where people skimp to make their day
To dream of a players pay
Our team lost
Tears abounded right and left from players to viewers
Some pitied others to be hated
'Till tomorrow
When we'll love each other again
