Funny thing is, looking in from a great distance, it seems to me that many of the US minority voters are natural conservatives - republicans; to me it seems a peculiar and ironic turn of history that they vote liberal/democrat. I think values are things people can hold in common - not necessarily ethnicity and that due to circumstance, poor leadership and economics people are voting for personalities - not for values. Or am I wrong?

I listen to people not politics.
I grew up in the projects of NYC.
In public school my best friend was black, his name was Gregory Ward.
In middle school my best friend was Hispanic, Louis Torres.
In high School my best friend was Jewish, Marvin Markman.
Now I am an old Italian dude. No, I am not white I am olive.
But I judge a person by their character.
Folks like Harry Reid and Nancy P are NUTS!
The things that come out of their mouth are simply "trash talk".
Biden is from another planet. He will be remembered for his mistakes.
Our president, I don't know who he is. Unfortunately Romney has some character flaws that should disqualify him for office as well.

Is this the BEST we can come up with?
I was in the USAF for 24 years.
In my career I met good commanders and great natural leaders.
Almost all could have been GREAT Commanders in Chiefs.
What has happened to our leadership?
They lie so much that I don't think THEY know what TRUTH is!
I am looking for the next JFK, FDR, Ronald Regan or Lincoln.
Let me know when you find one of them.

I'm with you 100%. My father, a Teamster, who always voted Democratic (he never voted) used to drive across the border to get his $2 haircuts in Mexico. Now we have them in my neighborhood. My sister is an angry old white woman who knows “everything” (but can tell me nothing of any substance) about healthcare, Socialism and Communism.

One of my many mentors was a beatnik college math instructor who was severely disabled. I just learned that he was an angry young man and, to my surprise and delight, a member of the Cherokee Nation. I will post his amazing obituary very soon. I hope everyone will read it and understand what it means to be a true American.

Keep up the good work. I wish I could be out there with you.

As the votes were tallied and results given, one of the happiest moments for me was not that Mr. Romney lost, but that all those 'angry old white guys' that benefited by the Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United, did not buy an election. I'm referring to the super pacs that pumped billions of dollars into the campaign...and lost. Could it be, Ed, that is what they're angry about?

Only from a truly inclusive heart, one that includes all that God created, you ring loudly the chimes of the liberty bell, why America, the land of hope and liberty, should now be denied to those, as of them before that came to her shore, it's the have guys the greedy new robber barons poor and rich that have forgotten what America is about, that once on a time, had come here as common folk poor and destitute. You have the riches of Gods creation in your land,in your backyard, but it should not only be shared by those bullies that have bigger hands, shovels, and pockets. Americans should be very proud to be able to say, we are the melting pot, we are all human, we are not the Master Race, but just Americans, the best of the bunch. And for the Princess I add, we might well have been better off, sharing with you all you had, instead of taking only, and destroying among it all the wisdom you could have taught us, so desperately needed. And as for your poem, it has much of that wisdom and beauty when it is expressed so deeply from the heart, bless you!

This is what frightens me about the current one in office, he declared our constitution impedes him from doing things... And HE is one of those designing men... Very frightening... otherwise, yes prejudice has always been a problem, I have never been prejudice and only wish to see a good person in office who will defend us and our country...
