Her money vault
I cannot fill with 24-karat gold coins
Valued at a quarter of a billion dollars.
But if she lifts up her voice unto me in song
As we sit upon the Arizonian rocks
With water running through them,
I will ribbon her curly locks of girly hair
With beautiful red, orange and yellow bows
Made from the colorful sunlight
Filtering down the sandstone walls
Of Antelope Canyon
Into her bank account
I cannot deposit green bills
Worth half a billion dollars.
But if she romances my lips
With her naughty kisses
As we rendezvous in the Port of Casablanca,
I will wet the dorsal softness of her feet
Betwixt her toes and ankles
With the whitecap droplets of water
That free fall from my joy-smitten eyes
Every time I behold heaven in her beauty
Around her pampered finger
I cannot place
The world’s first billion dollar ring.
But if during the rainy season
She interlocks her matrimonial dreams with mine
As we walk across the salt flats of Bolivia,
I will place around heart
The world’s first ring
Made of never-ending love.
At the exact moment
When the rain sweeps down upon us
Covering the salt flats with water
Turning them into the largest mirror in the world
Casting our reflection of love
Upon the rained-on face of the earth
For every spherical organ of sight
To eye witness
Homage paid to a beautiful woman in worldly riches of the heart, Ron! I love the visuals of Antelope Canyon. I've missed your poetry! It's been years! Welcome back!
I enjoyed this enormously!,
Best wishes,
