A poem of introspection

Poem Artwork

As I travel down the channels of time;

there's not one iota that I could change.

I see harmony, life is full of rhyme;

everything is clear, nothing appears strange.

I am a sojourner with you on this earth;

there's more to life for us than meets the eye.

Do you see it, the celestial with solemn mirth;

the magi saw it, their spirit called to occupy.

Sometimes it's music that helps us understand;

other times it's tears that bring us needed relief.

Sooner or later we see that all was planned;

simplicity of life brings that meaningful motif.

As I travel down the channels of time;

there's not one iota that I could change.

We must persevere as we make that climb;

satisfied with our lot we receive the blessed exchange.

It's hard to change an iota anyway, so better not to even try. ;-)

We learn from the past and
make changes to the present in expectations of bending
the future toward justice. We're close. Well written.
