I need you most...when it rains


Poem Artwork

Your full commitment to please me with pleasure

...matters not

Our bed games are not intimacy

...they are nothing more than second and third

hand actions...performed out of wants

But when it's a rainy day and you take my hand

...and walk with me

Knowing that you will get drenched

...with uncomfortable wetness

This is the definition of true love...

which is called...sacrifice

or... as on a different level---that of "friendship": a friend is someone who's there for you when they'd rather be anywhere else. with love, especially when it transcends object necessity, is a state of mind, not body.

You certainly know how to set a scene, Asa. The image this creates in the mind's eye is absolute. I can feel the coolness of the rain and the softness of a hand holding mine as I read. Very nicely penned.

there is no sacrifice to walk in the rain
it is a pleasure to share such beautiful moments
with another person...even a friend...
