It's those things we try to get away from that linger in our minds.
While on a long walk today
Mindful of the sky
The sky was so blue
Happy people smiled and waved
Fluffly clouds up high
Was thinking of you
What do you fear Sir
How can I help you
Shall I sing you a song
Breezes blew 'twas oh so gay
Stopped to look around
There was not a sound
Magic was at work I'm sure
The trees danced then bowed
Had to laugh out loud
Is that a tear Sir
Oh it's a raindrop
We've needed rain so long
Something hit me in the head
Not enough to hurt
An acorn was thrown
Brought me out of Magic's grasp
Smart squirrel thank you dear
Looked 'round no one's known
MEMORY'S TABLE, LADEN WITH ALL SORTS OF 'TEMPTING' DELICACIES DOES PRESENT ITSELF...EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. MOST TIMES WE ADAMANTLY DECLINE THEM. BUT THEN...THERE ARE THOSE TIMES...WHEN ONE 'FAILS TO GETAWAY' AND WE LINGER THERE, AT THE TABLE...TASTING, UNTIL... MERCIFULLY, THE 'ACORN' OF COMMON SENSE HITS US ON THE HEAD AND WE MOVE AWAY FROM THE TABLE AS FAST AS WE CAN. WE LOOK AROUND AND MOVE ON...SO GRATEFUL THAT NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WE ATE...THAT WE SHOULDN'T HAVE. I agree with both Jerry and Budd, you have a marvelous imagination and actually enter into thoughts when we all have been out and about walking alone. Thoughts that run through our mind :)
