I've always wondered what it would be like to be abducted by aliens.

Poem Artwork

Had I been abducted or was it a dream
My eyes were wide open or so it did seem
Found myself inside of a huge oval room
With greys and expressions which seemed to be gloom

They pulled out a shiny rod glancing it o'er
Then more and then more and then more and then more
These rods were then shoved through my stomach and head
While I lay on a flat still shinier bed

No pain did I feel but I felt myself heal
As soon as those rods were removed came a meal
A liquid which tasted like what you thought of
I thought of a lobster - the taste - close enough

The greys seemed to thank me then I was asleep
I woke up at home sure I must have slept deep
I checked out my stomach and found blue marks there
I checked out my head and that's what made me stare

My eyes were much bigger and slanted somewhat
My mouth just a slit and a crazy hair cut
Touched one of the spots on my stomach and found
My thoughts understood without making a sound

I thought I should move a chair across a room
Then found I was shocked when it moved just that soon
New powers were given to me by someone
I dare not go out for I fear folks would run

I gazed in the mirror again to make sure
Finding that my skin now was solid azure
Perhaps not azure leaning more to a grey
The powers the color I like it this way!

You know I don't like conjured up aliens from other people's tales and misconceptions. However, I like your imaginative take on a too familiar theme. Now then, you have gone and spread the myth a little further. Does that make you feel-good? You darn well should.

My my, how interesting this was
and how you put yourself into it so completely...
Now I don't know if I would like to take on their
appearance but the healing is wonderful...

Jane,
Or is it JAlien? Wow, you connected so well to this Alien interlude it's almost scary! Great imagination and as always lovely write. I don't want to see the blue marks but I will take your word. Also, I know they sell 'Sharpies' (in blue) at the dollar store.

Karen
