All that glitters is not gold.

The "antique" store held so much more Than ordinary stores before Within it's walls forgotten there A mirror stood so tall This mirror in it's "gilded" frame Held images but not the same As those which stood before it bear No not the same at all A weak relfection given by This mirror which did tend to lie The silver worn from time and wear? Gave an appearance pall Upon inspection I did find This reproduction of a kind With which it's value can't compare This seller showed his gall I understood then as I thought For this is why it's not been bought Forgotten it shall be fore'r Imposter on the wall Jane Noponen Perinacci

But it will be old in 3012, and probably valuable. ;-)

A nice little poem about your expertise with antiques and fakes. The mirror back was probably aluminum rather than silver.

But then, you are probably writing about shopping for men on the Internet with their gilded edges and faded images. Giving the appearance of youth while actually being antique. ;-)

Very well put together and outed the imposter as you are so good at seeing what there is hidden from most. This mirror, when stared at give the one staring a time-worn and pale reflection back. Absolutely, no wonder it will never be bought. Excellent poetry, Jane.
