My poems at first about my kids The crazy little walks we took But now these "kids" are growing up Going off on their own A new life I must now begin As change is good for everyone Pain spurs growth I have heard it said The seeds have now been sown Oh, change, why doth ye smite me so Take it then as I may I must I'll smile and watch them go their way All off and oh so grown Yet for some reason I have found I miss the patting feet on floors Good morning, Starshine little voice I feel so all alone Jane Noponen Perinacci

I hear you, Jane. It is a sweet/sour situation when they reach that age and the relationship changes, because it has to change.
