Poem Artwork

The breeze softly caresses
Tall grasses where fawns leap
Bucks so proudly guard
The does as they do sleep

A dragonfly is fair game
For spotted fawn to chase
Distracted by a  sound
All turn around to face

Eagle swooping downwards
It's talons stretched in air
Providing for his eaglets
Catching a feral hare

Pretty pattered corn snake
Quickly slithers his way
Beneath the swirling  grasses
So golden on this day

Coyote has been spotted
By bucks and does and fawn
In forrest deep they wait
'Til predator is gone

Await a brand new dawn

FOR SURE...THIS SHARING IS CLEAR, AS IT IS ABOUT SOMETHING WE ALL NEED TO PRAY FOR, THE 'PATIENCE' TO WAIT UNTIL THE DANGER HAS PASSED, FOR A NEW DAWN WILL ALWAYS COME! THANK YOU, JANE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

jewel bedazzled dew glints in sunlight on this scene, and my mind's eye is blessed by things you show us in this poem... what a fine vernal wood, what a glade, what a stream, what a fine display of talent you put on stage to make us dream!! This is great stuff, Jane. Fine work.

Has a very sweet, pastoral Bambi-ish feeling about it that I really like. I especially like that pretty pattered corn snake. ;-)

I feel so blessed that I see deer and other fine critters almost every day on my commute to work.
Just sorry I have to see so many that didn't make it across the road.
Slow down people! Enjoy the view.

This is a nice easy going poem. Thank you for mentioning the snake, as they are also often beautiful, especially those corn snakes and Texas rat snakes. Nature does sometimes heal the soul.
