Great poem and a well deserved tribute to artists of all types of which there are many:actors, singers, dancers,instrumentalists, oh the list goes on and on. Thanks for sharing with us here in The Den.

Yes, we do love them very much. But most are so underpaid for their talent and sharing that talent openly with us. Next time we acquire a wonderful piece of art and a "bargain" price we should think of how that artist starved when no one would buy their work.

But then, as a songwriter in that wonderful city of broken dreams, Nashville, you know all of that.
