Poem Artwork

A ring which holds an evil eye
While shopping with a friend bought I
To ward off evil thoughts from those
Who would to cause me harm

Thought to myself what could it hurt
Rather not want with danger flirt
Not knowing whether curse was cast
A harmless little charm

Falling asleep with ring on hand
I dreamed a far away strange land
With gypsies dancing round and round
Woke up in dire alarm

Shook off the dream fell back asleep
Ring glowing in the darkness deep
The undulating glow it cast
My own will now disarmed

Go you to Coventry to find
Quaint little shop to blow your mind
Circles of blue do wait for you
Your soul to be their farm

A little shop of curios keep! Wow! This is one of your best, and you're getting better all the time with these Poe-esque tomes. I could almost feel the power of that evil eye glowing in the darkness. Cool, or hot, depending upon your inclination.
