Yes, you can grow a tree from a branch. It takes the kind of patience that you have.
We are fortunate to live in the tropics, thanks to global warming. My partner has, at her house, near mine, lemon, lime, and tangerine trees. They all have grown tall and are producing hundreds of fruit. There is nothing better than lemonade, limeade, or sweet tangerines from a tree in your yard.
Still, I miss the colorful fall leaves you have up in God's country beside the lake.
Did I tell you that I planted a leaf I found growing in monkey grass 30 years ago and now it is a sweet gum tree 80 feet tall weighing at least 10 ton. I marvel at how such a massive plant can grow in my small yard with so much drought and such bad soil.
