'Just snapped this picture while peeking out my front door. This is my cut back lilac bush. I found it fanciful!!

Poem Artwork

Snowball bush in front of me
Such a winter sight to see
Do I dare to pick a ball
Then run like hell

How do snowballs grow like that
Too much wine within the vat
Appararition certainly
Must be pray tell

Still perplexed by snow ball bush
Warm weather would turn to mush
Leaving me nothing at all
A parable

Methinks the wine done gots your mind. I dare you to try to pluck a snowball from that bush!

I'm sure that almost any meteorologist could easily explain the phenomenon you have so carefully documented by your photo and your poem. But it certainly makes something for a creative person like yourself to turn into a poem of mystery and delight.

I'd love to see you out there in the dark in your flannel pajamas and boots trying to pick a snowball with a slight lilac scent. ;-)

A snowball bush,
with its beauty felt.
But don't pick the blooms,
'cause they'll only melt.

JANE ...

As a Cunning Linguist,
If I should ever Go Down,
On any Bush ... and It was
Bedecked with Cold Snowy Balls,
I might very well get ...
"Cold-Tongued" !!!

Yes, snow and its accoutrements have a mutability that is worrisome. Here today, gone tomorrow, lovely while they last as winter vine decked in snowballs. John
