Writers block has bitten me.

Poem Artwork

Oh let me fly on Pegasus
Muses to meet to charge my mind
With light'ning bolts of thought
Through pen let them be wrought

I've been there many times. I just "ride it out" and she comes back eventually. Love and best wishes,

I PERSONALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN 'WRITER'S BLOCK'. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THE 'GIFT GIVER' MAKES US WAIT FOR INSPIRATION AND THAT'S ALL GOOD BECAUSE WE ARE 'HIS' TOOLS, NOT 'HE' OURS. AND ALSO...ANYTHING A POET SAYS IS STILL POETRY, WHETHER A LOT OR A 'LIL BIT'. THANKS FOR SHARING, JANE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Must be a virus of writers block, cause I have caught it myself, maybe I transmitted it to you, I hope not...:) -e-

Don't knock writer's block,
your muse will come back in time,
with ideas fully stocked.

Sometimes the airways seem empty.
We wait for the next train to come.
All we can do.

Jane , this may sound weird but after days of sleeping like a log, being well rested, my creativity goes down, then I'll get insomnia for a few nights & can't shut my brain down & I start writing songs & poems like crazy. So believe it or not , I almost force myself to not be able to sleep with overload of coffee or make myself worry about things ( sounds bad I know) when I try to sleep & stuff just comes to me. It works for me more often than not. Dr Ron ( Hull) can probably explain it as that man sure knows a lot! Hope you don't mind the reference Ron , that's meant as a compliment ! Dan

Fret not, my dear. The phases of the moon suffer one fatal night of total darkness before mounting again the glorious horizon of light. It is called "the new moon". Your moment in the sun will return soon enough. John
