THIS REMINDS ME OF THE HALLOWEEN I ENJOYED AS A KID. IT COSTS US NOTHING BECAUSE WE DRESSED UP IN REAL OLD CLOTHES AND USED LIPSTICK FOR MAKEUP...ALL OVER OUR FACES. WE DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TAINTED TREATS AND EVEN MORE DANGER, JUST NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS WITH SOCKS FULL OF CRUSH COLORED CHALK. THE NEXT DAY THE ENTIRE BLOCK LOOKED LIKE A PSYCHEDELIC PARADISE...THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. THANKS FOR SHARING, JANE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS.
great time for fantasy and free treats
we also have GUY FAWKES night
kids make a scarecow dummmy effigy (whatever)
and go around the streets with it
asking for PENNY FOR THE GUY
guy fawkes being a catholic who tried
to blow up the Houses of Parliament
now his dummy is put on top of the halloween bonfire
and poor old is burned like a witch
"Mummy chasing" indeed. Parents have to follow their kids nowadays along the route to make sure nothing untoward happens on that hallowed night. Check the loot, polish the tooth, what a hoot, . . . to boot.
These days it's not just the kids. There are plenty of adults out trick or treating as well. Me, I just wait until my g-kids get back and then I raid their loot. And your poem was a hoot.
Tasked by his Goddess to find, relocate, and then quicken, the last three Heart Tree gem-seeds, Vanx the bard, and his motley crew of adventurers, set out to do just that.
