My words won't come from my brain
Down my arm on to the hand
Holding the pencil
This is a curse damn to hell
But then let me try to sleep
My funky muse comes alive
Yes my muse leaps through the night
Does grand entrance turn
But not that often
This is a curse damn to hell
Freya hum a tune for me
My funky muse keeps me up
JANE...YOU NEED A PAD AND PENCIL UNDER YOUR PILLOW OR RIGHT BY YOUR BESIDE...YOU KNOW? DON'T LET THOSE PRECIOUS LINES SLIP BY BECAUSE I'M TELLING YOU, IF YOU DON'T WRITE THEM DOWN, AWAY THEY WILL FLY. IT HAPPENS BUT, LIKE I ALWAYS SAY...EVEN WHEN A POET THINKS THEY HAVE NOTHING TO SAY...THEY'RE STILL WRITING POETRY. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Pardon me for never really knowing what the word funk really means. But I think I've heard of the word muse and try to keep it alive like youse (bad rhyme). I think you should put a pencil in your hand while sleeping and scribble on the pad you have lying next to your head whatever comes up keeping you awake at night.
I sure wish my muse would amuse me when I'm trying to write something funny.
This Muse thing can be really crazy. She doesn't come when she is supposed to and we are ready. And she comes when she is not supposed to, and we are not ready. Go figure. . . But oh, when she comes . . .
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
I sure wish my muse would amuse me when I'm trying to write something funny.
