It starts at the top
Drip drop drip drop
And it trickles on down
Turns a smile to a frown
Look the other way quick
What you see will make you sick
It starts at the top
God make it stop
I wish my muse would give me little ditties like this one but it doesn't seem to be connecting anymore, so to be in line with this poem my muse starts at the bottom and runs further down...:) -e-
Your little ditty is a wonderful bit of biting satire against the conservative notion of "trickle-down economy."
It could be a rallying cry for all those ground-floor service workers who are wage slaves being paid below poverty wages to serve their rich masters. They are supposed to be happy little underlings living from crumbs dropped by high society.

I love rain! It doesn't rain that much in Canada. I missed the rain that pours down like Niagara Falls like the way we had when I was in Hong Kong. It poured down so fast and the street would be flooded. As kids it was so much fun for us to walk through the flood.
Great poem. I know you were referring to life - sometimes the rain must fall so that when it stopped we can enjoy the rainbow and the sunshine.
