In search of the lost muse!

Poem Artwork

I've lost my muse
Somewhere last year
Still looking 'round
'Got to be near

Perhaps it hid
Beneath my rug
Behind my drapes
I give a shrug

"Come out Come out
Where 'er you are
Don't be afraid
And don't go far"

OUR MUSE IS NEVER LOST. JUST KEEPS OUT OF SIGHT...SENDING OUT SMALL SUCCULINT BITES...TRUFFLES OF LIGHT...LIKE THIS SHARED DELIGHT. I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN...EVEN WHEN A POET THINKS THEY AREN'T SAYING ANYTHING...THEY ARE SAYING SO MUCH. A GREAT WORK, MY FRIEND, THANK YOU. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

If I were there, I would get down on my hands and knees and help you in the search. Two heads are better than one. Maybe I could pick your brain to see if I could find her there.

But with the summer in full swing, I would suggest that you get out into nature and she will come to you like the birds come back in the spring.

The muse is always never, even when he/she seems to be lost, as is well evidenced in this short, lovely poem.

It is a charming bit of wordplay that suggests there's much more to your muse than you are ready to admit. You'll find him or her. Keeping searching.
