Keeping up appearances will kill the spirit if continued
Felled/
I languished in abeyance/
embryotic/
somewhere between heaven & earth/
death & rebirth/
unearthed/
as ashes/
from a fiery hearth of monotony/
I was tired/
tired of existing in golden vessels of polar dispositions/
repelled by the virulence of subjectivity/
& relativity/
it was too high a price to pay/
considering the brilliant array of iridescent light/
that spills/
profusely/
from my soul/
still/
unabated/
by the superficiality of appearances kept/
for the sake of fickle, discontented minions who wept/
at the underside of audacity/
that lifts me skyward/
albeit slowly/
as I regenerate/
in shades of chartreuse/
& fiery reds....

Your writing continues to get better and better in my view.
