from ther first breath

all babies see

are the masked faces

of you and me

they giggle smile and coo

while looking up at you

babies feel

our spirit souls

divine love for them

which nothing

can mask

thru eternity

They are born innocent and pure, wish we would remain that way,
but life bends us , thank you for sharing this wonderful poem today Judy.

Like me, and I'm not very good at it, I'm sure that babies usually determine who is within their vision by their eyes and the expressions that their eyes give, as well as what they are saying and the way they are saying it, even while the mask may alter the sound a bit.

To come to my point. I believe that babies have no trouble recognizing us much better than we do.
