Always the voices
So many different voices
So many types of voices
Both male and female
Bombarding my brain in unison
More than I am capable of handling
At any one single moment
Moments pass
Back and forth
The voices
They cannot be my conscience
For there are far too many different voices
Trying to make me into
Something I know I am Not
Trying to distract me
From being able to concentrate
On anything
Trying to make me believe
Things that I know are not True
True...?
My True Self...?
But do we ever really Know
Our True Selves ?
Which of the voices
Is actually Mine ?
I feel I may be going mad...
Mad, I tell you !!!
I feel as if my mask of sanity is slipping
Soon I will be nothing but a thousand voices
Screaming in anguish, at times,
