pain and anguish everywhere
abuse, chaos, pits of despair
tortured souls
destined to wander
through this fractured garden
of hopeless dreams
hate and violence
breeding prejudice
becomes the new religion
THE NEW RELIGION
no one really knowing who he is
or who he hates and why
dumped
into this great big world
no choice
just forced
into an existence of blindness
where we are led by others
no real knowledge for yourself
being programmed from day one
a never ending learning process
being taught lies and truths
how to distinguish between ???
HOW TO DISTINGUISH BETWEEN ???
what is truth ???
WHAT IS TRUTH ???
is it all in one's perception ???
IS IT ALL IN ONE'S PERCEPTION ???
force fed
by their propaganda
there's no escape !!!
THERE'S NO ESCAPE !!!
pushing into your minds
warping it
into the mindless drones
they wish you to be
don't speak
just listen
don't think
just do
don't question
just believe
blind faith
BLIND FAITH
to take their words as the gospel
spewing from their lips
while stealing money
from your fingertips
leading the lonely
leading the lost
believe in them
regardless of the cost
even if it's your soul
EVEN IF IT'S YOUR SOUL !!!

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS...
Blind faith is the biggest pitfall in life. Finding one's self should be the first thing we do but it's usually the last. Well penned and truly powerful. Enough to inspire the search for answers.
There are many names for them: the huddled masses, the meek, sheeple, silent majority, etc. The ones that let others do the thinking for them, yet claim they are thinking for themselves when they repeat force-fed dogma in response to almost anything they face. Your poem describes this segment of society very well.
But there are those few that are not affected by authority and they are the ones that make this world move forward because they foment change and will not bow down to the status quo.
