reality
illusion
perception

while perceiving their illusion
we search to find our reality

belief in the illusion
gives it the power
to become reality

without believers
is the power lost ???

searching the sea of facades
to find the right disguise
faces hidden
behind their needed masks
finding security
behind a shroud of lies

never knowing who you are
floating amongst a sea of souls
struggling to find
some meaning
to our existence
searching for a real reason to be

looking in the mirror
scared of what we see
hating who we are
trying to conceal our fears
behind veils of shadows and tears

putting together the pieces
of the jigsaw puzzle of your mind

trying to pull together
the scraps and shreds of me
and sew them into a tapestry
for the world to see

hiding in my room
crying on the floor
just searching for something
just needing something more

my insides are torn
my emotions collide
thoughts fight their own battles
around inside my head
driving me crazy
and trying to leave me for dead

screaming to be let out
being forced to be held in
collapsing from the exhaustion
from the wars within

being pulled to opposite extremes
searching for truth everywhere
even in my dreams

but in my dreams it's worse
not knowing i'm asleep
fighting battles and memories
i do not want to keep

but trapped in time
with no control
of my body or my mind

trying to scream
trying to yell
for someone to please
get me out of this hell

this hell which is mine
is all in my mind...
how to get away from myself ???
how to escape this madness which is me ???

i disintegrate
into the many molecules
of this hell
which is me...
