The Preconception

 

Life has a nasty habit

Of shooting down rabbits

The hunter takes his gun

And shoots those rabbits

One by one by one

Dead

Well not quite

But life will surely

Strike out and take

Another bite

 

The rabbits hide away

Scared of the light of day

And when they think it’s

All right

They’re suddenly

On a knife’s edge

Dead in the midnight

 

Conscious of preconceptions

Life is full of exceptions

Ups and downs minimise

The summary of life

The answer is 42

The question-

Are you a rabbit too?

 

Life has a habit

Of shooting down rabbits

As the hunter takes his gun

And shoots those bloody rabbits

Down, down, down

"The Preconception" spreads the message and asks a question,
"You shoot to live or live to shoot". It flows in good harmony and sounds pleasantly.
