Wrong Number

Hello how are you?

Guess you’re wondering why I called

I thought the time was right

It’s very hard to say this, but…

I got you totally wrong…

I took you for a fool

I never really thought

About this kind of thing before

You’re justified to say what you will

But first…let me explain

I never really stopped to think

They say “truth lies within a name”

I put the wrong foot forward first

I wasn’t playing a game

Guess I’m still trying to hide my hurtful ways

Don’t know if I’ll ever know the truth ‘bout them

But please forgive me

Accept my apologies

This call was very hard for me

You must be able to see

Haven’t you anything to say?

Please, oh God, please don’t hang up

Respond please…even if it’s negative

I need your self-assurance

I need to hear your voice…

“I’m sorry, but you appear to have the wrong number

Which number did you want?”

Very well discribed. I did chuckle at the last line. I once rang up my friends after a car crash, explained the lot, then found out it was a wrong number.

This call was very hard for me..But you musta made it..Nice one..

A beautifully expressed moment of agony that only the brokenhearted
poets of the world can truly identify with.

This is so poignant, Andra, it is painful. Your words are well conceived, and well put across. Thank you

Carmen :-)

Wrong Number, but Right Intentions. And if true, don't feel bad, Andrea, I've done the same thing; probably so have many others.

Interesting...

I would have listened too.
