You Were My World
I cried for you long before you died
My pain over you, lies deep inside
Everywhere I go, I can no longer hide
Where to go? I can not decide
Time eases the pain that I hold
A story? A tale? It’s fiction, I’m told
I once hoped to die before I’m old
But now? The very thought leaves me cold
Turn the clocks back to how it was before
To hear you turn the key in the door
To feel your footsteps on the floor
Your presence was here; it is no more
Stop the clocks, sit still in time
Hold my hand and I’ll feel fine
There is no reason, no rhyme
For you; I will always pine
You were my world; my dusk, my dawn
My sun bringing promise to the golden corn
You gave me life; with you I was born
Let the seed grow to a grassy lawn

Poetically as beautiful as the image - deeply compassionate, "You Were My World" 'speaks' with eloquence - all from the heart!!
Best wishes,

For some so painful - to others it is "the king is dead, long live the king"!
Yes ... the teethmarks of reality.
Thank you, Andrea!
This is a poetic tray of ambrosias... A full couse meal to be served through the millennia.
