Back to the comfort, security and contentment of my favourite theme. Think many could do with a blizzard of these purifying, cleansing Dream Feathers at the moment, blowing wholesale over the desertous soul of this troubled world... LOL K xx

PS... Blurry picture is actually a Griffon Vulture, wing span 7-9 feet... but what's a magnificent bird of prey or two between friends?? :))

Poem Artwork

DREAM FEATHERS

Softly floating boudoir curl,
a sigh the shape of a wisp

A snowflake in the blizzard
that survives in the form
of a kiss.

A treasured theft from
eagles’ lair,
the trophy of a winning dare:

Captured fantasies of challenge
and of bold endangered quests;

or sweet with thoughts of quietude
against satisfying breasts

I loved this Kate. The line 'Softly floating boudoir curl, a sigh the shape of a wisp' is just incredible. A beautifully constructed piece of escapism. Simply superb!!!

This is absolutely dreamy Kate...like a summer afternoon and a moments peace upon a pillow strewn, down duvet...awash in imagination. Twisting hair in your fingers as you sigh and dream of kisses and climbs and lover's fantasies...dreamy illusion where vultures dare.
Love,
Taylor

In the quiet peace we look up as the swoosh of an astonishing bird with a wing span in majestic beauty brushed the crags of the mind with a pen perfectly painted.

Kate, your mind is stunning! This poem actually energized me...made me want to get up and knock someone over or something! It just left me with a can-do attitude...someone smack Andy...maybe I should, I'm feeling spunky!

The muse rakes in the booty for her dream catcher, a weaved labyrinthe connecting us with the ethereal energies through cathartic flight. Preening out hatred, cleansing, and rearranging the filaments of life. Dream Feathers cleanses the aura, Kate. Contour feathers enable our personal flight of fancy, inspiration, and achievement, covert feathers help align us with the forces that facilitate out-of-body experiences, primary flight feathers connect us to our feminine energies of creative imaginations, birth, and intuition, and down feathers insulate us against changes in both mind climate and meteorology and are continual symbols of protection. This poem gives a sense of touch...

I like the way you subtly brought the focus from the snowflake kiss to the theft of the eagle's eggs, or baby eagles, either way the paradox is stunning. To be challenged and to succeed is definitely a rush. Big time.
