Poem Artwork

Sweet grow the golden laburnums
yellow tassels in pendulous form
honeysuckle perfume wafts
through the sultry summer air
and I will love you forever my lass
as long as I can breathe

Dancing sunlight dapples
the rowan trees in the glen
as I take your hand in mine
heaven holds its breath
whispered words and knowing smiles
darling I'll always be your man

We paused and lingered lovingly
beneath the acacia's shade
snuggling in devotion
true love will never part
warm and secure was the touch
that bonded us together
mesmerised we were
as twilight settled down

We nestled even closer
soft kisses we exchanged
bathed in starlight magic
we gave our hearts away
for love knows no bounds
and is gifted from above
a token of fidelity
crowned by an eternal rose

Out of sight the way you wove the flowers and subtle shades as you and your loved one found a spot just right for the bells and whistles to begin. Very well written.

The romantic in you shines in this delightful poem and the pic sets the mood for the write. Splendid. Your poems of late are rising to new heights.
