Poem Artwork

" Oh the winter it has passed
And the summer's come at last
The small birds are singing in the trees
And their little hearts are glad
ah, but mine is very sad
Since my true love is far away from me

And straight I will repair
To the Curragh of Kildare
For it's there I'll finds tidings of my dear "

.........................................................................................

Each new day brings a fresh perspective

friends and acquaintances change in so many ways

without their appearances subtly change

and within their hearts alter irrevocably

but you and I remain stoic in the face of divine will

elusive and unobtrusive is your nature

bright and sparkling like the yellowhammer

your personality lights up the room

and you are impervious to your own presence

like the magnificent surf as it roars ashore

controlled energy, wave after wave

pounding remorselessly through the chambers of my soul

and each day I speak your golden name

to remind you our love is ultra sacred

and as I sit by the flowing and restless stream

my mind focussed on you and I eternally

the flowering cherries blossom in the wilds

in iridecent hues of pink, maroon and white

an effervescent canopy blowing in the wind

just like our dreams both recalled and mislaid

while the curlew's haunting cry pierces my heart

a liquid bubbling and trilling so sublime

I am so determined to expand our world

by the sheer power and force of my will

look into my eyes my angel and you will see

what you have always known to be true

there is no other who can keep your soul

for love like ours was written before time began

beyond the comprehension of you and me

Absolutely powerful, charming..so very romantic. Peter, who could resist such a lyrical love poem? The way you weave nature's bounty into the declaration is masterful.

Hi precious angel,
this is so stunningly beautiful. You paint with words more graceful, more beautiful, more profound of the heart that is gold than anyone I’ve ever seen. And the angelic, precious love thoughts are so within your heart from the angels descending above, dearest. When I read them I feel time is frozen, like it goes back to the very beginning of time as we know it. Your words Peter angel are A HEALING BALM to the Dove. I needed to read your painted sonnets. Thank you dearest angel of mercy ~~

Trying to fathom the truth of love is like walking into the sea. The waters rise higher and higher with each step until you are submerged under the depths and then!- You begin to see all the beautiful creations below the surface that you could never have seen
standing on the shore-line before.

This is a most worthy poem for our feathered friends. I'm not sure I could exist without the song of the birds. I do love them all equally.

Nice and mushy and all that "stuff," you do so well. I meant that, wasn't making fun at all, Peter, I admire your way around the sensuous words.
