Bob Dylan comes to mind… About changing times. Your poem is quite sad. Probably from an experience related to the pandemic that is taking so many lives and causing so much pain and misery for those having to go to the hospital, survive, but still have symptoms. And for those who lose jobs as result of mandates and fear of infection.

But there is an earlier song that parallels your poem that I sing almost every night… "MacArthur Park is melting in the dark… All the sweet cream icing… Flowing down. Someone left the cake out in the rain and I don't think I can take it, it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again… Oh noooo!"

I tend to be visually descriptive in my writing, but I can paint or draw worth a stick. Perhaps that is why I am so fascinated in your ability to capture the "soul of something" in your artwork. This one is really stunning, so real somehow.
