I don’t have a dog, but I share my daughter’s Australian Koolie. Dogs are one of life’s ‘buttons of happiness.’

(Invented this dog whose name would surely have been Slippers.) A Dog Named Slippers He was ruthless Such a mess Shreds of threads Of who could guess The innocence Behind those eyes, The not guilty The big surprise To take the blame For shredding again — You left it there, And it wasn’t for him? ~~ djl 8/14/23

I had to laugh. You caught a dog in its most embarrassing moment. They sure have a way of lying with their eyes, don't they?
