The trouble, the crescendo, the finish.

Poem Artwork

Ode to Salvador painting. - "Fang" by djl

I broke the sound barrier,
I lost control.

The Knives Out with him
cracked open the sky.

Grateful am I.

All that blue
falling through --

all that reveal,

that Hindenburg-sized lancing
made the devils hide
and the angels sing.

Now nothing left
but to heal.

The operative words go on and on, seemingly unable to escape the eloquent stroke of a genius's respect for the art of words and their enlightening nature of choice. This is the kind of creation I for one wish not to heal from. Kudos for another inspired journey through your immense grasp of the creative language.

Very creative. Especially your painting. Reads more like the light barrier rather than sound. Lots of imagery.

Remembering my three year friendship with Herb Morrison, who reported on the Hindenburg and, in the horror, blurted out the phrase, "Oh, the humanity!"

Your poem, like a sharp knife opening the color of the sky, releases the flood and what it may reveal. From a poem of too many words, such that I am, I like your tight, controlled, impressive verse and its inevitable impact.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
