CHILDREN ARE PURE, NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL. THEY HAVE NO HANG UPS AND THUS...FROM THEM FLOWS THE 'SILLINESS' THAT WE AS ADULTS WISH WE STILL HAD AND WERE ABLE TO GIVE. ENJOYED, DIANA...THANKS. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH... HIS+INSPIRATIONS
Oh for the free flowing abandonment of childhood…
Where unfettered imagination is the order of
the day…we would do well to recapture some of that
Innocent magic…to let go of the sensibilities of adulthood and FLY…
A wonderful poem which caused me to self reflect on how
I can have more creative fun with my six year old granddaughter…

Great to be back and reading your work again…!
It may be silly, but childhood talent is really profound.
I have a tape I can still play of my younger twin brothers at four singing I Want To Hold Your Hand with perfection.
And the time I arrived tired after a long drive to a good friend's home for the night. When Ariane, about 6, asked me, "Can you draw a bird for me?" Her mother objected, but I gave it a try… it was the best and only sketch of a bird that I ever drew and wish I still had it. Maybe Arian still does.
Indeed, children draw from their free-flowing imagination whatever they want and have fun with it without it just being silly to them. It's the doing and not the having done that means so much more to them.
Both your image and text cry out to be heard and remembered, for far too many have long since forgotten what you so clearly and simply remind us of with your profound ability to pick just the right words to send forth your heart and mind for your readers to enjoy and grow from. Love your choice of image and married text.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
