Seen on the tv, in the newspaper, on billboards, even on lawns...but can it be deciphered? Is the truth out there? Are we seeing the best? Are we seeing the worst? Facts? Fiction? How do we decide? This is not anti-political by any means - I'm just expressing my confusion with everything I am hearing and seeing.
Great write. Simular confusion is rampant. Everyone is out there bottling their own flavor of truth for public consumption. There's an old joke that answers the question you pose. "How can you tell when a politician is lying?" (dramatic pause for effect) "His lips are moving." It's sad but true.
Well said. But all of this is not new. Only new to younger and highly vocal citizens. Why not view political races and verbage as we do most problems over which we have little influence? Let us duietly study the issues and the candidates, and in our own inner selves - make a decision - without the rancor and noise of TV, Party claims and pressure from others. After all these two men will affect our lives for four years and more. Let us choose wisely - without anger or trying to prove something which we know so little about.
How well you say it!Sometimes I wish we could scrap it all and start from scratch.Only we're in a war against terrorism and that isn't a lie, so we have to go to where the most leadership is. That is for each of us to decide.
