such lost eyes, so hungry

You sit in the shadows...waiting..

longing for what you cannot have.

 

I feel you in my soul,

in the silence of raw truth.

Where you cannot hide from me

though you try.

 

All that rage and pain that drives you,

those hurtful scars from long ago,

torment you beyond imagining,

twisting love's grace.

 

In the fog shrouded mists where you hide

my trembling hand reached out to touch you,

sensing the atrocious loneliness

behind the byzantine labyrinth of your mind.

 

You retreated in fear and hate,

breaking that small hand into pieces,

safe in that dark loveless hell

Yet, you long and love from behind the veils of deception still,

where I feel you....

and wait,

refusing to run and hide

for the crime of caring for you.
