Just some early morning thoughts on writing and my own works...

Literary Overview of Published Works

By: Fee

I do not take credit for my words

They are but reused words

Made up long before my time

I credit not my thoughts

Perhaps…perhaps not

I just put them into rhyme

I nod my head to published work

But I bow to works not yet wrote

I the poet, pick the play on words

Like a musician picks a note

Sunset’s praise and sunrise lauds

The birth of each new dawn

And worms sacrifice to song

As robins feast upon the lawn

Nay, no more, No. 2HB pencil held

Anticipation over parchment lines

The catalyst of key stroked bliss

The superiority of our times

Shelved books aligned bear my name

Like trophies one, two, three

Cover shades of glossy new

Nay, I cannot take credit for my words

For only time provides the overview…

Years ago when I wasn't writing, I used to wonder how authors thought of new things to write. I thought everything was already said...how can anyone come up with new ideas? Then I began writing again. I realized then that writing is about expression and everyone does it differently. Published or not, our works are left behind to leave a mark on loved-ones or this world. Be very proud of everything you have accomplished thus far! This poem is thought provoking. Hugs~

I agree with Karen, Fee. WE are the instruments of reused words, over and over and over, again. But it is how we use these reused words, that counts. Some are our thoughts, some of our thoughts have been thought before. But we are the artist, and the true artist can make a new work out of old words. Recycling I think they call it. :-). So while you are thinking, "what's the use, it has all been done before", just remember, that love stories have been written in endless time with the same thoughts, but in different rearranging of the words, and settings. Write on dear brother, and do not be stymied by what has been.

Thanks for sharing, Fee.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), little sister, Barbie

The way you put words together -- word-meister. Yep, that's what you are, and dog-gone good at it.

God bless you. Kathy

When the shelves collapsed all the words scattered around the floor, I took them up and made a poem with words belonging to someone else long long ago.
For a lousy Sheriff you are a fantastic writer.
