O‘er the Mountain
when mountain dark outweighs light in thine eyes
and the night shadows linger o'er weary of heart
again to capture a firefly’s spirit on meadow’s air
the breeze of whisper betrays that we shall part
aye, and I'll lay with you among the heather
where wild rose will scent love's embrace
in birch branch birds will sing refrains of love
our images stroked that time can ne’er erase
to stroke the skin of what some say mortal sin
share heated kisses that condemns souls to hell
to hold thee tight through but one day and night
‘tis such dreams the bards know all too well
aye, when the sun shall send the buds of spring
o’er the mountains in the West I must surely ride
till weary and weak with the midnight madness born
to someday take my place, my lady, at thy side…
