Maestro Please

 

The music filtered through the mist

Of what so easily could have been lost

The doves must have worked overtime

To warm the air of an icy killing frost

 

My song and yours could have played out

As I watched you drift away from me

My beseeching words drowned by crescendo

Of all you somehow could not see

 

But a guiding light broke from the heavens

Our magic shared could not be allowed to die

It was time for us to play another love duet

And dry all the tears we had to cry…
