Never Give Up A Dream
The old man walked along the beach
Leans on walking stick of cheery wood
Takes the same stroll here everyday
Wears an old parka, pulled up hood
Snowflakes soon be in the air again
Shivers remembering last year’s cold
Sits on the old piece of driftwood log
Smiles, thinking how’d I get this old
Same beach he took her so long ago
This place he first kissed her lips
Where they once stroll hand in hand
Wave out to sea at the passing ships
Love they said would outlast all time
They’d wait forever until that day
Sharing wind, sea and kisses sweet
Neither would have it any other way
Time couldn’t steal their faith in love
Now down the beach he saw her clear
His old heart beat a little bit faster
Seeing her wave at him, wind in hair
Once more they strolled hand in hand
Pausing now and then to share a kiss
Time was now life’s sweet reward
For they were granted their fondest wish

I know for me those people I have known for mhy lifetime
as sacred and special to me..and this embraces that emotion
