Missing You Blue

The full moon alone mirrored her feelings

Seemed to reflect the sad look in his eyes

When she told him she would be leaving

The creak of the old house held his sighs

She tried hard to remember their laughter

The long talks and the love that would flow

He’d told her she was his reason for living

Tried to be strong and not tell her don’t go

Outside the winds blew cold off the meadow

There’s a trace of early snow in the night air

Her fingers trace the lips that he once kissed

And one more time she wishes he was there

She blows one last kiss towards the full moon

Says a silent prayer that somewhere its true

that he’s blowing a kiss to the same full moon

And he’s feeling the same “missing you” blue…
